Founded by a Nurse to Create a Safe Haven for the Intellectually Disabled 

Helena’s House Inc. was established in 2004 by Helena Oduroe, R.N. BSN; a nurse with over 37 years of experience in the health care industry. Her sincere concern for those affected by physical, emotional and intellectual disabilities inspired her to create a safe residential environment that places special focus on community support and respite care. We also accommodate individuals requiring special living arrangement such as medication administration and management, gastrointestinal tube feed, Diabetic care, wound care, supervision, and guidance.  

Our homes strive to maintain the highest quality of care and treat your loved one with the utmost respect and dignity. We employ a staff of well-trained and highly skilled licensed nurses, certified nursing assistants, and medication technicians to ensure all our individuals receive expert medication administration, wound and diabetes care, GT feeding, personal care and supervision. Helena’s House is certified by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Office of Healthcare Quality.
